Wow. I just now looked at my last post here and I am shocked. It has been two months! Where does the time go? One minute it was June and then it was October. But I have been crazy busy though. I know I keep using that excuse but I swear it is the honest truth. Working two jobs and attempting to keep a personal life intact will certainly burn up the waking hours. And things end up falling to the wayside, even when you don’t mean for them too.
But after two months of real life getting in the way, I finally found some time to finally get back to the project a couple of weeks ago. And here I am, back with an update. This time we have crew equipment to look at.

Well here I am again with another update and this time it is on our beloved team of MACO’s. I know it has been a little while since I posted something but “real life” keeps busting in on me demanding more and more attention. And if that attention means a paycheck and a way to put my life back in some semblance of order after “the flood”, this project can wait a few days. I know that some of you would rather I keep feeding you more NX-01 goodness but doesn’t absence make the heart grow fonder… or something like that.

Now that I have completed the final version of the NX-01 deck plans, I wanted to know what everyone thinks. Do they capture the ship in all her glory? Do they meet expectations? Did I miss anything? Are there areas of the ship you would like to see as a detail plan?

But I feel a little sad since this means I am even closer to closing a four year chapter of my life. It has been exhausting. It has be arduous. It has been fun. Anyway…

For some reason, F Deck has always been everyone’s favorite. I guess, since it is where they keep all the stuff that blows up, people can’t resist. Everyone loves stuff that blows up. But enough chat from me. Here she is.

I have no idea how to start this post… or even where to start. This last month has been something out of a nightmare. For the last two years I have resided in Nashville, Tennessee. My residence there was the longest in previous six year nomadic trek. And in that time I had learned that the weather there was more temperamental than anywhere else I have lived. If it wasn’t treacherous ice in the winter it was the weekly threat of a tornado in the summer. But at the beginning of May we were hit with an epic rain storm that made what had come before look like a simple afternoon shower. Everything around me was either damaged, destroyed or swept away in the deluge. In less than three days time we received 16 inches of rain. Rivers were 60 feet above their banks. Homes were washed away. Roads were closed. Businesses were flooded. More than 80% of the county was without power. It is one thing to hear about something like this. It is another to actually experience it first hand.

I have been thinking about doing a post on this subject for a quite awhile now. I haven’t bothered because I was afraid it might come off as a little snarky or “finger pointing” and that was never my intention. It also wasn’t just one person but a confluence of posts (from several boards and places) and emails that I have been receiving for the last year. I can also be sarcastic and even a little bitchy when I am really really riled up. I am not riled up about this at all. For the most part, about 98% of the time, I am an easy going guy and I am easy going about this. I just think I need to explain something. But doing a post like this may lead people to believe that I am ready to jump off a roof. Something always gets lost when you communicate with just words. A simple sentence can be made into something else if you aren’t careful. But, despite that, here it is… and here I go… treading softly…

So here it is folks, E Deck. I have slaved, laughed, cried, screamed, smiled and ate sticky pudding with this one. E Deck is where everything about the NX-01 converges together. This is where her heart is. And from my point of view, she seems to go on forever… near far… wherever you are… her heart will go on… Ooops. Sorry. Someone get a shovel. My exhausted and over-taxed brain needs someone to hit the reset button. And you would think, after nearly a decade, that chest-thumping Celine would just let that bloody boat sink already.
